The Starlite Room Restaurant & Bar provides a lovely atmosphere for a couples date night or a get together with friends. This multi-level dining experience is a real treat, out of the norm, for Sarasota. The bartenders in the candle lit lounge mix fantastic cocktails, with local music and comedy shows nightly. The Starlite Room has a hip mid-century theme that features “old school” dishes to retro drinks with a modern twist. The décor is aesthetically pleasing, sporting funky lamps and great artwork on the walls. If you have not made it to The Starlite Room, or haven’t been there in a while, you are missing out! The new menu designed by Chef Ash is out of this world, to say the least! He’s taking traditional dishes and adding a modern flare, using local products. For instance, they have added deviled eggs to their menu, which is quite common, however, these deviled eggs have bottarga and bacon combined, resulting in a rich umami that was once not there. The briny flavor of the bottarga highlights the salty bacon and brings that punch of flavor to these deviled eggs! This is a culinary adventure that you do NOT want to miss. It’s located close to The Player’s Theatre which is prime for an excellent evening out. Get some friends together or bring a date, either way, get on out to The Starlite Room.
